THE SITE
The Enderby site is some 33 hectares, located to the west of St Johns (B4114) and south of Leicester Lane, and the M1 runs along the western edge.
Existing industry, business and the Marriott Hotel at Grove Park is to the north and the Enderby Park and Ride site is to the immediate north east. M1 Junction 21 is only 1 mile to the north. The site is greenfield and the line of the Fosse Way Roman road runs through the site and would be retained. There are some strong boundary trees, including a small spinney woodland alongside the M1 motorway, which will also be retained but the site otherwise has few protected landscape or ecological features.
The Promoters
The site is owned by the Drummond Estate and The Inverock Trust.
The development is being promoted by the Drummond Estate, a local family trust, and Landchain, a specialist design-led, promotion and master development company.
